Many of you have been anxiously awaiting the general availability of the responsive design interface you’ve only seen in beta. We’re excited to announce that PaperVision Enterprise R84 is now available, and it includes the all-new user experience! You’ll love the robust feature set of R84, and it’s still wrapped in an easy-to-use interface and the sensible price you count on from Digitech Systems.
With more than forty enhancements, PaperVision Enterprise R84 offers exciting new features in addition to the user interface change. Information about important updates is listed below.
Enhancements
New Interface Experiences
Our development team has also been hard at work upgrading the PaperVision Enterprise user experience, including a new PaperVision client and a new web client with improved support for mobile devices. In both cases, the new interfaces provide a fresh look and feel and offer new features not previously possible.
In January 2017, you received access to a beta version of the browser-based viewer being made available in R84. This updated user experience includes responsive design to automatically re-arrange and resize elements to create the best viewing experience for smaller screens on tablets and phones. You’ll notice the following among the comprehensive enhancements.
The new PaperVision Client (sometimes called the thick client) enhances the user experience for your customers who prefer to download the software for user machines. It optimizes the latest versions of Microsoft Windows. The PaperVision Client includes all of the functionality of the PaperVision Assistant (formerly called the PaperVision Web Assistant), and provides most of the same features available in the browser-based viewer.
Please note, for the web client, the browser-based viewer is now the default. To use the PaperVision Viewer, you must download and install the PaperVision Client.
Finally, this release includes an update to PaperVision® Enterprise Tools. In addition to being able to add very large documents using Tools, users can also configure a setting that will automatically log them out after they have added their documents, streamlining their ability to get documents into PaperVision Enterprise or ImageSilo® without leaving their line-of-business application.

With PaperFlow™ R81, we debuted an all new release notes style that includes more detailed specifics for both enhancements and defects fixed, as well as additional important notes that our development team wants you to be aware of as it relates to the release, and we’ve carried that new format forward for R84. We’re excited to let you know that R84 is available now on MyDSI. The changes we’ve made will enhance your customer’s experience with the technology, so get started putting the word out and helping your customers to upgrade to the new release.
In keeping with our commitment to give you at least 48 hours notification of ImageSilo upgrades, this announcement is also to let you know that we anticipate these exciting new features will be available for ImageSilo users the week of March 12, 2018.
